For plan reviewer Ben Weese, 1986 was the tipping point. After laboriously and painstakingly conducting plan reviews for his local building department using the hardcopy building code, Ben decided it was time to revolutionize the industry. With some new-found programming skills, he created the first plan review software program that became – and is still – the industry standard for building officials, architects and other designers, Plan Analyst.
Since 1986, Plan Analyst has continued to evolve to meet users’ needs and is relied upon to simply and quickly produce accurate and complete code studies, plan reviews and correction reports based on the International Building Code (IBC) and International Residential Code (IRC) published by the International Code Council (ICC).
